Jennifer Ghormley, a Denver based artist, is inspired by many things, ranging from patterns and colors in nature to exploring the figure and emotional dynamics. She aims to connect to her viewers through their experiences, eliciting and emotional response. Jennifer enjoys working with students of all ages, cultivating self-expression and connection through art. Her teaching focuses on the excitement of the process of making art, and encourages students to create without fear or judgment. Her workshops emphasize a D-I-Y approach and creative problem solving, to empower students with a spark of entrepreneurial mindset.
Beginning with a brief overview on the history of printmaking and physical examples, participants in this workshop will make a variety of colorful and unique prints from multiple linoleum blocks. We will work with acrylic ink in multiple colors, focused on layering, technique, and composition to create a wide variety of interesting prints. Participants will print from existing blocks to get the hang of the media and printing process, and will leave with newfound knowledge, artistic discovery, and the inspiration of creative play - and a fist full of prints!
This workshop is free and open to people of all ages and skill levels, and is limited to 30 participants. All participants must bring their own aprons, all other materials will be provided.
